Biennial Update (MCS-150)
Biennial update is required by the FMCSA. Under this mandate, you must update your MCS-150 form – also known as the motor carrier identification report. You must do this update every two years without exception. FMCSA requires all entities under its jurisdiction to update their information every two years, or more often if your business information has changed.
Failure to complete a biennial update will result in deactivation of your USDOT Number and may result in civil penalties of up to $1,000 per day, not to exceed $10,000 as periodically adjusted for inflation.
